Description

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $105 million in competitive grants for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Passenger Ferry Program. Passenger Ferry funds will be awarded competitively for any purpose eligible under 49 U.S.C. 5307(h) for capital projects to support passenger ferry systems in urbanized areas, such as ferry vessels, terminals, and related infrastructure.  

Synopsis

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $105 million in competitive grants for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Passenger Ferry Program. Passenger Ferry funds will be awarded competitively for any purpose eligible under 49 U.S.C. 5307(h) for capital projects to support passenger ferry systems in urbanized areas, such as ferry vessels, terminals, and related infrastructure.  

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants:
City or township governments Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized) County governments State governments Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification)
Any eligible recipient of 49 U.S.C. 5307 funding, States and federally recognized Tribes that operate a public ferry system in an urbanized area.
